RENimagines Continuing to Practice with Drink Photography
The final composition of the Cola shoot in my living room
Yesterday I had a great bumble around the city with my friend taking a few pictures. When I got back to my place, I wasn't quite done, so I headed out to the local shop to buy a soda. I've been taking a lot of beer bottle pictures, making hero bottles and doing lots of prep. This I just decided to do a simple glycerin/water spray, and not to waste some of my "Ice" I was making to show my friend (both the melted ice at the bottom and the ice crystals on the bottle were made a couple hours earlier).
After everything was set, I still didn't want to do a big set up (after just packing it all away from last weekend's shoot), so I grabbed the Westcott Ice Light and then added on my fancy Cinefoil barn doors for more directional lighting.
Knowing I was shooting for a composition I simply moved the light around the sceen to get the parts I wanted to be put together later on. The following are the images used in the making of my soda shot.
